It is hard to believe that season 12 is almost in the books. A big thank you to all who continue to come out and support our concert series and live music. We continue to give our scholarship out each spring to high school students entering a program of jazz studies. If you are looking for a jazz duo, trio, or quartet for your special occasion, feel free to contact me to see if we can help you out.
It is hard to believe that we are into our tenth season of our winter jazz concert series. The years schedule looks better then ever. Remember, each year we are fortunate to give a scholarship to students studying jazz thanks to your generous support. Please help spread the word and come out to support live music on PEI. It was a great honour to have recently been selected the winner of the 2015 Music PEI Award for Achievement in Classical or Jazz. Thank you so much to Music PEI, the other nominees, and supporters of our concert series and live music, particularly Classical and Jazz. We have an exciting new season of our Winterjazz concert series, season nine, lined up for this fall/winter. Our first show of the season will be November 7th with the super talented, multi-instrumentalist, Chris Kirby

We were excited to find out yesterday that the Glen Strickey Quartet has been nominated for Achievement in Jazz or Classical for the up come Music PEI Awards in May. Thanks so much for all the support, and thanks for supporting our Winterjazz concert series. Also thanks to Alan Dowling, Deryl Gallant, and Ian Toms. You guys are amazing musicians and great friends. It is an honour to play with you. Every gig is a joy and a treat.

The music scene on P.E.I. could be compared to your backyard: vibrant and full of life galore in the summertime, quiet-yet-still-alive in the wintertime.
